The 2nd Maciek Ziemski Memorial - a weekend full of emotion, competition and memories

On 30-31 May, the second edition of the Maciek Ziemski Memorial took place on the fields of Buksza Polo & Racing Club - a special tournament dedicated to the memory of our teammate who passed away far too soon, a great polo enthusiast and a wonderful person.

Over two days, 14 adult players and four juniors came together on the field, creating an event full of sporting excitement, a warm atmosphere and moving memories.

Saturday - opening match and Pocket Tournament

Saturday's competition began with a two-chukker opening match in a 3-on-3 format, a perfect introduction to the main part of the weekend. Two junior riders, Hania and Natalia, took to the field supported by Marianna, Pawel, Juani and Maja.

Next came the six-chukker Pocket Tournament, contested by twelve players. Agnieszka, Marianna, Maja, Marta, Zosia, Hela, Emma, Ula, Tomek, Maciek, Juan and Pawel competed, treating spectators to plenty of thrilling action.

In the evening, participants gathered for dinner at the Grande Pizza Extravaganza which - just as a year earlier - proved a perfect occasion for conversation, reminiscence and bringing the whole polo community together.

Sunday and the Grand Finale

Sunday opened with another 3-on-3 match featuring the juniors. Then came the Grand Finale, a four-chukker match contested by nine players: Emma, Ula, Marta, Marianna, Tomek, Artur, Dominik, Juani and Pawel. The spectacular competition was a beautiful conclusion to the entire memorial.

After the sporting action ended, participants celebrated together at the now traditional reception, whose main attraction was... a sea of cider.

Polo is, above all, a community

The 2nd Maciek Ziemski Memorial showed once again that polo is not only a sport, but above all a community of people united by a shared passion. We thank all the players, juniors, organisers and guests for their presence and for creating such a special atmosphere. We are convinced that the memory of Maciek will live on at our field through many more editions of this exceptional event.
